erika's simple hat for agnes

we have joined quince and co in celebrating hannah fettig's knitbot designs for the month of october. early this month i got out and stocked our closets with winter gear. during this process i realized most of the hats i have for my girls are slightly loose tie ons. they all are very cute, but not the most functional for hard play on snow days, as they tend to slip back. this was my inspiration for choosing a project to knit up. a while back i heard hannah talk about the importance of a well fitting hat- i believe this was on her discussion with pam allan on the episode on negative ease.

i chose to make the home and away simple hat in version a: bulky weight for maximum warmth. this hat was fun and quick to knit up. it fits perfectly, and is a cute classic hat. i added a pompom for fun.
