most of us may have grown up with the picturesque valentines preparations: from elementary school where you bought aaron carter valentines that said things like "i want candy" for your class crush, to dumping red hots on top of your already florescent pink heart shaped sugar cookies, to of course, buying heart shaped boxes of chocolates down the street at cvs for your potential significant other (highly suggest to do none of these things as they have done me absolutely no good).
but, we somehow grew up a bit and from the general consensus of my 20-something year old friends, we feel pretty bittersweet about this day. it's become too sappy and leaves others with high expectations of flashy ways to show your affection to one another.
so, i say we change it. yes, we all believe we should show each other love every day instead of a hallmark holiday, but why not use this day to include your mom n pop? your grandparents? your neighbor?
we've collected a series of really beautiful products we deeply admire from other shops we truly love and wanted to share them with you. take a look, support good people, and share something kind and meaningful to someone you also admire this valentines day.
